"There is definitely a movement happening where women are choosing more ingredient_conscious beauty products," says Chelsea Smith, master colorist for Madison Reed, which makes at_home hair color that's touted as the first "six_free" formula. This means it doesn't include what they consider to be six questionable ingredients commonly found in hair_color formulas: ammonia, resorcinol, parabens, phthalates, PPD and gluten.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Hair : Created by colorist Megan Schipani for a client who wanted to "keep it 'natural'" but also wanted "something fun," this clever, two_tone look features a golden blonde inspired by the color of peanut butter and shades of purple to evoke jelly. Buttered Rose Gold Hair : Stylist Presley Poe calls this very 2018 color "Butter'd Rose Gold" due to its blend of slightly metallic pink and yellowy_blonde tones. "For this color, I blended the current fade from her previous color [a bright pink] with the pink melt at the base," Poe told Allure. The result is a lived_in, wearable version of rose.
